Tour My Home

Welcome to my house… take a look around! Click on the photos or links to learn more about each project and shop each room.

My New House

The girls and I have had some big life changes over the past few years, and one was moving to a new (to us) house. It needed some work (and still does) but it’s a great blank slate for all my wild projects. Here are the photos I have so far.

Entryway

The entryway is almost finished… everything but a new front door. I’ll post more photos soon.

Laundry Room

I just finished my laundry room makeover and it’s soooo much more functional (and looks better too if I do say so myself!).

Living Room

Here’s the living room before… As you can see it’s got cool bones, but some of the finishes were a bit dated.

After painting everything white, my first project was a fireplace makeover. I painted the old tiles, gave the gas insert a refresh, and built a new wood mantel.

Design Studio

Fire Pit

Last summer I built this ultra-simple fire pit so we can roast marshmallows in the backyard.

It’s slow-going sometimes, but I have more coming very soon!

Bothell House

Front Porch

This is my front porch. I absolutely love these macrame swings!

My Home Office

And here’s my $300 Ikea home office. I love the amount of natural light in this space! And this comfy desk chair!

Homeschool Room

During Covid I transformed our playroom into a homeschool room and built this Ikea-hacked desk.

And here’s the reading nook and play area on the other side of the homeschool room. I’m in love with this chair & fun colorful rug!

Displaying the girls’ artwork had been on my “to do” list forever! I finally did it! And I found the coolest frames that you can open from the front to change out the art!

Living Room

A couple of years ago I transformed my ugly builder-grade fireplace by painting the tile and building a new box mantel. I guess I need to take more photos of my living room!

Powder Room

The powder room is one of my all-time favorite rooms. After an unfortunate wallpaper debacle, I decided to paint a mural accent wall instead! You can see the tutorial and the full transformation here!

TV Room

I added new legs and brass hardware to an old Ikea Expedit bookshelf to turn it into a stylish TV console for the TV room.

And built this vertical garden. You can’t see them very well in this photo, but I replaced the legs on this Ikea sectional to give it a more high-end look too.

Closet Office

The closet in the TV room got a makeover and is now a “cloffice” with a hand-painted accent wall.

My Master Bedroom

This was the first room I decorated when we moved into this house. I still love it, but my style has evolved a lot since then. I actually made this diamond-tufted headboard. Anyone who tells you that’s a “quick & easy DIY” is lying! There’s a good reason I’ve never written a tutorial on that one for you!

Master Bathroom

I’ve always felt like the bathtub nook needed some livening up. So last year I stenciled this wall with a fun botanical pattern.

Girls’ Boho Bedroom

The little ladies and I had so much fun designing this room together! We couldn’t agree on wallpaper for the accent wall, so in the end I took a Sharpie and drew this pattern on their wall to create faux wallpaper. We hid a few alpacas in there for fun, and the girls each got to draw a section too!

We also built these simple floating desks for each of them.

And there was room for a small window seat too! I made this really easy upholstered cushion for it.

Small Laundry Room

Once upon a time, this very small laundry room was just a side-by-side washer and dryer with some junk sitting on top of them. The dirty laundry had to sit out in the hallway because there was no room for laundry baskets. But I like to think I made the most of the space! You can see the whole transformation here.

Patio

When we first moved in, the backyard was an overgrown mess, and it needed some serious love! we completely re-worked the space. The one thing we didn’t change was this patio. But it did get some love. We added these ultra-easy DIY string light poles.

And this year, I re-painted the dining set and added some fun Boho patio flair with this awesome outdoor rug, throw pillows and blankets and candle lanterns.

Gazebo/ Outdoor Living Room

We added a Costco gazebo to the backyard about 5 years ago, and it’s one of the best things we ever did! Now it’s my fabulous outdoor living room, complete with these ultra-easy DIY outdoor curtains, a bold outdoor rug, and a fire pit.

Kids’ Playhouse

My awesome dad did a serious renovation on an old playset several years back. And now it looks like this! It makes my heart happy to see my little loves playing in their playhouse!
