The Best Christmas Candle Fragrance Oils (Tested & Reviewed)
An unbiased list of the best Holiday & Christmas candle fragrance oils, including evergreen tree, spiced cider, peppermint, and gingerbread scents.
I’ve been making candles for about five years now, and one of the first things I learned was that candle fragrance oils are pricey, and they’re not all created equal! And a lot of them really don’t smell good either.
I’ve made hundreds of candles and wax melts and tested just as many candle fragrance oils from many different companies. You can find all my favorite candle fragrance oils for Fall here, and for the rest of the year here. And of course for Christmas & Winter scents keep reading.
This post is not sponsored and I’ve purchased all of these fragrances at full price to remain unbiased. However I do earn a very small commission (at no additional cost to you) if you order products through the links on my site. This allows me to support my family and continue creating content for you. I appreciate your support!
I’ll go through them one by one first, and then at the bottom I’ve organized them by company, since you’ll likely want to order multiple fragrances from the same company to save on shipping.
Christmas Tree Fragrance Oils
This is where it all began- me trying to find a convincing Christmas tree scent to make scented candles. I was trying to make up for the fact that I finally got a fake tree a few years back (and all the associated guilt). I’ve tested at least 20 different fir and tree scents trying to find the perfect fresh cut tree scent.
And then as I was testing more oils a few year ago, a giant fir tree came crashing through my roof during a wind storm! It turns out THAT is the way to get your house to smell like a Christmas tree. But I digress.
I’ve come to the conclusion that you really can’t beat the real thing. But these candle fragrance oils are the closest I’ve found.
